Diantaranya dilakukan oleh Dr Suhas Roy dari Benaras Hindu University. Penelitiannya membuktikan biji jenitri rudraksha memiliki sifat elektrokimia dan fisika berupa induksi, kapasitansi dan elektromagnetik. Karena itu buah jenitri ganitri bisa mempengaruhi sistem otak pusat ketika dipakai menyebarkan rangsangan bioelektrokimia. Hasilnya, otak merasa tenang dan menghasilkan pikiran positif.
Berdasar penelitian Institut Teknologi India. Jenitri rudraksha yang berkualitas memiliki nilai spesifik gravitasi sebesar 1,2 dengan pH 4,48. Saat digunakan untuk berdoa, misalnya, ganitri memiliki daya elektromagnetik sebesar 10.000 gauss pada keseimbangan Faraday hasil konduksi elektron alkalin.
Penelitian Singh RK dari Departemen Farmakologi, Banaras Hindu University, India. Ia menggunakan berbagai larutan seperti petroleum eter, benzena, kloroform, asetone, dan etanol untuk melarutkan 200 mg/kg buah jenitri rudraksha kering. Larutan ganitri hasil perendaman selama 30-45 menit itu menunjukkan sifat antipembengkakan radang, antidepresan dan antibakteri saat diujikan pada tikus yang diinfeksi.
Jenitri rudraksha berkualitas berdasar penelitian A B. Ray dari Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University India juga mengandung senyawa alkaloid yaitu pseudoepi-isoelaeocarpilin, rudrakine, elaeocarpine, isoelaeocarpine, dan elaeocarpiline. Senyawa itu berkhasiat meluruhkan lemak badan.
Manfaat jenitri rudraksha sebagaimana penelitian Dwiarum Setyoningtyas dari Sekolah Ilmu dan Teknologi Hayati, Institut Teknologi Bandung : pohon jenitri ganitri merupakan penyerap polutan yang efektif.
Penelitiannya dengan kotak kaca yang diembuskan emisi gas buang dari hasil pembakaran tiga jenis bahan bakar yang memiliki kandungan biodiesel yang berbeda. Yaitu 10% biodiesel (B-10), 5% biodiesel (B-5), dan 0% biodiesel (B-0) sebagai pembanding. Hasilnya, tingkat pencemaran dari ketiga jenis emisi bahan bakar dalam kotak kaca berisi pohon jenitri ganitri tercatat lebih rendah (sulfur oksida 0,81 ? 0,38 ppm, nitrogen oksida 0,49 ? 0,01 ppm, dan karbon monoksida 1,36 ? 0,71 ppm). Sedangkan kotak yang tidak diberi tanaman jenitri kandungan polutannya masing-masing 5,15 ? 1,77 ppm, 0,75 ? 0,15 ppm, dan 2,34 ? 1,36 ppm.
